Lions and Tigers and Grandparents!

Grandmomma and Granddaddy Fields came in town from Georgia for a few days. As always, the visit went by way too quickly, but we had a great time!

Got your nose!

On Thursday, we went to the Brookfield Zoo. Jack enjoyed watching the carousel but wouldn't get any closer than this.

Jack was excited to see the monkeys, but much to his dismay, the monkey house had the ambiance of a real rainforest--including thunder in the background noise. He has really become afraid of thunder this summer. I never realized I would start paying so much attention to nighttime weather forecasts.

As long as Grandma Nold or Granddaddy was holding him, he did okay, but he still wasn't thrilled about the whole thing.

We did get to see some really cute monkeys, though! One of our favorites was the baby orangutan and his mother.

This gorilla was also pretty cool.

Charlotte was there too! She was such a good girl, especially considering she hadn't napped at all.

Tired boy reading an old favorite with Grandmomma.

We spent the weekend at the lake house; more pictures will follow!

We had such a wonderful visit, too short though. We have great memories to take back home to Georgia - Jack's commentary on everything and Charlotte's many noises and faces! Love y'all.
