More Fun with Grandmomma and Granddaddy

I'm finally getting around to posting the remainder of the pictures from our wonderful visit with Grandmomma and Granddaddy Fields.

On Saturday we spent some quality time on the beach--it doesn't show up well in the picture, but Charlotte was rocking a baby mohawk here with her sunscreen-hair.

She loves playing in the sand, but we have to really watch her because she also enjoys the taste of sand.

The ladies hanging out.

Jack in the water.

What a cutie!

Getting all the good-nights in. Charlotte was a little upset, though that was pretty much her usual mood throughout the weekend. She had 2 bottom molars coming in at the same time and was extra cranky. You can see how she has her fingers jammed in her mouth for a lot of the pictures.

Lou was a worn-out pup too. He loved snuggling next to Granddaddy.

Cheerio-beard!

Finally, just an assortment of some more pictures. We had such a great time with Grandmomma and Granddaddy and miss them lots!

Lions and Tigers and Grandparents!

Grandmomma and Granddaddy Fields came in town from Georgia for a few days. As always, the visit went by way too quickly, but we had a great time!

Got your nose!

Granddaddy kisses

On Thursday, we went to the Brookfield Zoo. Jack enjoyed watching the carousel but wouldn't get any closer than this.

Jack was excited to see the monkeys, but much to his dismay, the monkey house had the ambiance of a real rainforest--including thunder in the background noise. He has really become afraid of thunder this summer. I never realized I would start paying so much attention to nighttime weather forecasts.

As long as Grandma Nold or Granddaddy was holding him, he did okay, but he still wasn't thrilled about the whole thing.

We did get to see some really cute monkeys, though! One of our favorites was the baby orangutan and his mother.

This gorilla was also pretty cool.

Charlotte was there too! She was such a good girl, especially considering she hadn't napped at all.

Tired boy reading an old favorite with Grandmomma.

We spent the weekend at the lake house; more pictures will follow!

Weekend with the Johnstons

We recently had the Johnstons up for a weekend at the lake house--thanks to Courtney for taking and sharing all the pictures, since we had misplaced our camera!

A romantic shot of Will and Jack.

Can you tell neither Jack nor Charlotte was happy about being on the boat?

They both much preferred playing on the beach and in the water. Charlotte really liked floating on the magic carpet.

Courtney brought some new sand toys that all the kiddos had fun with.

Charlotte isn't freaked out by sand like her brother was as a baby. At one point she was actually laying spread out in the sand and rolling around in it.

Snuggling with Mommy after waking up from her nap.

Dueling high chairs at breakfast.

Yummy marshmallows!

10 Months Old!

Hey there, it's me Charlotte. I turned 10 months old yesterday.

I am getting really close to walking! I love to push the dining room chairs around.

Intense concentration.

Yea, me!

I am also turning into quite the eater. We had spaghetti for the first time tonight--yum!

Sometimes painting is more fun than eating.

Rrrrr... the ferocious sketti monster

In my quieter moments, I'm the cutest little peanut you've ever seen when I peek out of my crib waiting for Mommy.

Birthday party

Last weekend we went to Katie Rose Pedersen's 1st birthday party. All the kids had a great time, and Jack even participated in his first tea party (Dad was real happy about that).

Miss Charlotte sitting pretty in the cute dress Grandma got her.

Some of the kids watching a video slideshow of Katie.

Charlotte turned her head right when I snapped the picture, but she had been intently staring at Katie and Hannah's Uncle Ryan singing a song he wrote for them.

Tired girl.

Katie Rose voicing her displeasure at Jack playing with one of her new toys. We are really working on sharing, but sometimes it just doesn't happen.

And Grandma is there to comfort Jack when he gets in trouble for it.

Can you tell Jack and Hannah are being told to hug? They both look so excited.

Summer fun

Happy Birthday yesterday to Uncle John!!

Jack has figured out that the sprinkler is a great way to beat the heat. Of course it's Jack, so what he really enjoys is controlling and watching the sprinkler head spin around versus actually running through the water.
We saw the Flynns again the other night. Here's Jack and Lilly playing.
Or maybe not...
Charlotte being cute and showing off her cruising skills.
Charlotte giving Cole a push.
Maybe Lilly's magic spell will make Charlotte's hair grow.
